Tylvalosin——Product Introduction

l  The main component of tylvalosin is acetyl-isovaleryl tylosin tartrate.

l  Tylvalosin is a macrolide antibiotics obtained by fermentation and only used for animal.

l  Tylvalosin has a unique new chemical structure (Fig. 1), significantly enhanced drug resistance.

l  Tylvalosin interfere with protein synthesis by roling in binding to the 50S ribosome subunit and its metabolite 3-AT still with antibacterial activity.

l  Tylvalosin is the most sensitive antibiotics against Mycoplasma in the world.

Tylvalosin——Superiority

l  The metabolism of tylvalosin is fast: Comparison with other macrolides, tylvalosin is absorbed more easily and has higher plasma concentration. Its metabolites 3-AT still has antibacterial activity. The results show that oral administration of tylvalosin after 1h reach maximum plasma concentration, the average plasma concentration is 2.5 times tylosin, 1.5 times tilmicosin. It is distributed higher in liver and kidney.

Tylvalosin——Clinical reports

l  Control the Mycoplasma

Ø  A Japanese researcher artificially infected with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae on 10-day-old piglets for 3 days, and then mixed feeding tylvalosin respectively at 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5 mg/kg.bw for 7 consecutive days. Compared with the control groups, treatment groups can reduce the ratio of lung lesions by 86% with significant therapeutic effect.

Ø  Wang Ming et.al use tylvalosin to treat artificial infected Mycoplasma gallisepticum disease. When the drug concentration in drinking water is greater than 125μg/ml, it can significantly reduce the weight loss of infected chickens, improve the survival rate of infected chickens, a significant reduce the pathological damage of air saccus, better than a concentration of 500μg/ml tylosin.

l  Control the intestinal pathogen

Ø  Made Hui reported tylvalosin had good effect on porcine proliferative enteritis (PPE) which was caused by artificial bacteria-infected cells Lawsonia intracellularis. Tylosin 100ppm was continuous fed mixing for 21 days, tylvalosin 50ppm, 100ppm was continuous fed mixing for 10 days, and the results showed that the dose 100ppm mixed feeding for 10 days had best effect to control porcine proliferative enteritis.

l  Stable porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and immune enhancement

Ø  Thakcle studied the effect on piglets after using tylvalosin which was artificially infected with PRRS virus. The result showed that using 100ppm tylvalosin for consecutive 28 days, can effectively reduce the PRRS virus replication and clinical respiratory symptoms.

Ø  Through investigation, some large-scale pig farms of Guangdong province, Anhui province, and Jiangxi province have been successfully cleared the PRRS by applying tylvalosin.

Tylvalosin——Indications

l  Pigs: For the prevention and treatment of infective disease caused by the mycoplasma and sensitive Gram-positive bacteria, such as swine enzootic pneumonia, Mycoplasma arthritis, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus parasuis disease, pig lung disease, Pleuropneumoniae and swine dysentery. Tylvalosin has special effects on SEP and PPE.

l  Poultry: For the prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma and sensitive Gram-positive bacteria, such as infectious rhinitis, airsacculitis, infectious sinusitis, infectious synovitis and poultry necrotic enteritis.

Tylvalosin——Usage and Dosage

l  Pigs

Ø  Add in feed: add 50-80 g tylvalosin in 1 ton of feed for 7-10 consecutive days (Treatment amount of double).

Ø  Drink in water: add 100 g tylvalosin in 1 ton of water for 5-7 consecutive days.

l  Poultry

Ø  Add in feed: add 25-50 g tylvalosin in 1 ton of feed for 5-7 consecutive days.

Ø  Drink in water: add 100 g tylvalosin in 1 ton of water for 3-5 consecutive days at 1 day old, and at best 3-5days each month at the same dosage.

Form of the drug: premix and soluble powder

Withdrawal period: Swine: 3 days Poultry: 5 days
