This product is sodium salt of cellulose carboxymethyl ether, belongs to anionic cellulose ether, is white or milky white fibrous powder or particle, density 0.5-0.7 g/cm3, almost odorless, tasteless, with hygroscopicity. It is easy to disperse into transparent colloidal solution in water and insoluble in organic solvent such as ethanol. The 1% aqueous solution has a pH of 6.5 ~ 8.5. When the pH of >10 or <5, the viscosity of the glue decreases significantly, and the performance is the best when the pH is 7. On the thermal stability, viscosity increases rapidly under 20 ℃, and 45 ℃ when changes slowly, above 80 ℃ heating for a long time can make its colloid denaturation and significantly lower viscosity and performance. Soluble in water, transparent solution; It is stable in alkaline solution, easy to hydrolyze in case of acid, precipitate will occur when PH value is 2-3, and precipitate will occur in case of polyvalent metal salt reaction.
