Properties: colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, odorless, sour, stable in air. It is a mixture of equal right-handed and left-handed tartaric acid, often withone or two water of crystallization, heat to 100 degrees C lose water of crystallization. Density of 1.697, 20.6% of its water solubility, ether solubility of about 1%, in 5.01% ethanol solubility
