[Properties] Acridine esters are a class of chemicals that can be used as chemiluminescent markers. In alkaline hydrogen peroxide solution, when the molecules of acridine esters are attacked by hydrogen peroxide ions, the substituents on the acridine ring can form unstable diethane with C-9 and hydrogen peroxide on the acridine ring, which is decomposed into carbon dioxide and N-methyl acridine in the electronically excited state.
