Drug Uses CHLOROQUINE is very useful in treating acute attacks of certain strains of malaria and a certain type of parasitic infection (extraintestinal amebiasis) and it works by killing sensitive malaria parasites by stopping normal metabolism inside the parasite. Usage Following the dosage instructions of your doctor is the best way to use any medication. If you are unsure or do not remember the instructions then you may read the medicine label for more detailed information. You may choose to take CHLOROQUINE with a meal to avoid an upset stomach or without one. You are advised not to take antacids or products containing kaolin within 4 hours before or after taking Chloroquine. Taking your medication at the same time each day is a tried and tested method to avoid missing any doses.
