Introduction

Poly L-glutamate also known as natto gum, is a water-soluble, biodegradable, non-toxic biopolymer produced by microbial fermentation. It was first discovered in "natto"-fermented beans. 

The special molecular structure of γ-PGA makes it extremely moisturizing. Adding poly L-glutamate to cosmetics or skin care products can effectively increase the moisturizing capacity of the skin and promote skin health.

Cosmetic/food grade: MW 700,000;

Pharmaceutical grade: MW 1 million;

Water treatment grade: MW 1.5 million

Soil, plant conditioner grade: MW< 20,000.

Main Functions

1. In food industry, it can be combined with food ingredients (such as fats, fatty acids, vitamins, alcohols) to form antioxidants. It has good water retention ability, it can extend storage period.

2. In agriculture industry:

- It can be used as a plant yield increase nutrient; 

- It can romote the development of crop roots and strengthen disease resistance; 

- It can integrate plant nutrients and water active ingredients in the soil can enhance resistance to     

symptoms caused by soil-borne plant pathogens.

- It can quickly increase the output of tea, melons, fruits and other agricultural products by 10-20%.

3. In cosmetic industry, it can moisture, whiten the skin and improving skin health.

4. Water treatment industry, it can be used as absorbent or chelating agent for heavy metals.

Applications

It is mainly made into absorbent or chelating agent, biopolymer flocculant, food supplements, as an absorbent used in baby diapers, feminine sanitary napkins, etc.
