1. Raw materials for preparation of 10xmops buffer

7 g mops; 3 g / mol

6 g sodium acetate, trihydrate; MW 136.1 g / mol (Note: anhydrous NaAc is only 82 g / mol or 8.2g)

7 g EDTA, disodium dihydrate; MW 372.24 g / mol (recheck MW of stored salt)

2. Configuration steps of mops buffer

Add 800 ml distilled water without nuclease; Mixed dissolution;

Adjust to pH 7 with NaOH (prepared in distilled water without nuclease);

Add deionized water to the final volume of 1000 ml.

3. Precautions for mops buffer

Mops buffer can be stored at 2 ~ 8 ℃ for at least 6 months with 0.2 ml μ High pressure sterilization is not recommended. If it is necessary to prepare the mops solution without nuclease, the water can be autoclaved first, and then the powder can be added to dissolve. Keep away from light and room temperature. If the solution is dark (yellow is OK), do not use it.
