The chromogen substrate TOOS is a new Trinder's reagent. Its enzymatic reaction with hydrogen peroxide has high sensitivity and specificity. It is usually used to determine the indexes to be measured that can produce hydrogen peroxide in biochemical detection. For example, the concentration of uric acid in human serum is determined by toos in the kit.

Significance of uric acid determination:

Uric acid is the product of purine metabolism in vivo. Adenosine deaminase ADA catalyzes the deamination of adenine nucleoside to hypoxanthine nucleoside, which is finally metabolized into urea through a series of enzymatic reactions. The level of uric acid reflects the health status of the body, such as decreased uric acid excretion or hypermetabolism of purine, which may cause hyperuricemia and ventilation; Too little uric acid production or too much excretion will cause hypouricemia. Determination of uric acid by toos enzyme method:
