Chemical Properties:White needle-like crystals. Melting point 70-72ºC (decomposition) or 141ºC decomposition. Soluble in water and hot ethanol, slightly soluble in cold ethanol, insoluble in ethyl ether, benzene. Unstable with water or heat. Odorless, tasteless.
