Storage conditions
1. Store in a cool, ventilated, dry and clean warehouse. It should not be stored and transported together with acids and toxic substances, and should be protected from rain, hot sun and moisture during transportation.
2. Handle with care when loading and unloading to prevent the package from breaking. In case of fire, water, sand and various fire extinguishers can be used to put out the fire.
Stability
1. The pH value of 1.1.5% aqueous solution is 4.5-6. The aqueous solution is close to neutral at room temperature. After being heated and boiled, volatile ammonia and hydrochloric acid are generated due to water decomposition, which is slightly acidic. When heated to 337.8°C, it sublimates and decomposes into ammonia and hydrogen chloride. Its aqueous solution is weakly acidic. The pH of the aqueous solution at 25°C is 5.5 (1%); 5.1 (3%); 5.0 (10%). The acidity increases when heated. Corrosive to ferrous metals and other metals. Corrosion to copper is greater. It has no corrosive effect on pig iron. It reacts explosively with potassium chlorate or bromine trifluoride. It reacts violently with iodine heptafluoride. Reacts with hydrogen cyanide to produce explosive nitrogen trichloride. Decomposes by high heat and emits toxic fumes.
2. Low hygroscopicity, but it can also absorb moisture and agglomerate in wet and rainy weather. The aqueous solution is weakly acidic, and the acidity increases when heated. It is corrosive to ferrous metals and other metals, especially to copper, and has no corrosive effect on pig iron.
3. This product is irritating to the skin and mucous membranes. 50g of ammonium chloride can cause severe poisoning in healthy people. For patients with liver disease, kidney disease, and chronic heart disease, 5g can cause severe poisoning. Oral poisoning can cause chemical gastritis. In severe cases, blood ammonia is significantly increased and hepatic coma can be induced. Severe poisoning can cause liver and kidney damage, metabolic acidosis, and a large increase in bronchial secretions. Occupational exposure can cause irritation and burns to the respiratory tract mucosa. Chronic effects: Regular exposure to ammonium chloride can cause chronic inflammation of the conjunctiva and respiratory mucosa.
