Storage conditions

Stability
1. Approximately 8% of ammonia can be lost in the exposed air. 1g of this product is soluble in about 2.5mL of water, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in acetone.

2. The aqueous solution is acidic, and the pH value of 0.2mol/L aqueous solution is 4.2. It is relatively stable in the air, and a small part of it decomposes at 100°C. When heated to above 130°C, it gradually decomposes and loses ammonia and water, forming a mixture of ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid.

3. Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone. It is relatively stable in the air, and a small part of it decomposes when heated to 100°C. Above the melting point, ammonia and water are lost, and a mixture of ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid is formed. The aqueous solution is acidic (the pH value of a 1% solution is 4.5). Decomposes at 190.5°C. It has piezoelectric properties. It changes from a tetragonal crystal system to an orthorhombic crystal system at low temperatures (-125°C), which is similar to potassium dihydrogen phosphate.
