Details:

9-fluorenone is an important organic synthesis intermediate, which can be used to manufacture a variety of fine chemicals, mainly used in the synthesis of polymer materials, bisphenol fluorene, fluorenyl benzoxazine resin, acrylic resin, polyester, polycarbonate and epoxy resin modifier. In the laboratory, fluorene was used as raw material, dimethyl sulfoxide as solvent, sodium hydroxide Chemicalbook as catalyst and oxygen as oxidant. The oxidation reaction was carried out in a tower packed reactor. The reaction solution was cooled and filtered to get 93% of crude fluorenone, and the filtrate was distilled to recover 94% of solvent and part of crude fluorenone. The yellow sheet fluorenone with purity above 99.8% can be obtained by direct crystallization of crude fluorenone.
