Fluconazole is a novel triazole antifungal agent, which was first developed by Pfizer in the United States. It has broad spectrum antifungal effect and belongs to systemic antifungal product. It is highly selective for the inhibition of fungal cytochrome P-450-dependent enzymes, and is also a strong and specific inhibitor of fungal alcohol synthesis.
Fluconazole is mainly used for vaginal candidiasis, thrush, atrophy oral candidiasis, fungal meningitis, pulmonary fungal infection, abdominal infection, urinary tract infection and skin fungal susceptibility.
Fluconazole is a class of flutriazole antifungal drugs, antibacterial spectrum is similar to ketoconazole, antibacterial activity is stronger than ketoconazole.
