4. Introduction:
UV-326 is a benzotriazole type UV absorber. It has a high absorption in the wavelength
of 290~400nm. It is also efficient for the light stabilization of polyvinyl chloride, unsaturated
polyurethane, polystyrene, polycarbonate, coatings and lacquers.
5. Specification:
a) Appearance: slightly yellowish powder
b) Melting Point: 137~141℃
c) Content (HPLC) : 99% Min.
d) Transmittance: 460nm≥95% 500nm≥97%
e) Ash: 0.1% Max.
f) Loss on drying: 0.5% Max.
6. Property:
a) Odorless, don’t bring smell to polymers.
b) Insensitive to metal ion
c) Non-flammable, non-explosion, non-toxic, harmless to health.
d) Very high photo stability for its strong ability to absorb light especially in UV region
(290~400nm)
e) Very stable to heat and can be used in plastic which require high processingtemperature.
f) Not stained in alkali. Oil resistant.
g) Low volatility, very little or no loss during processing.
7. Applications(base on polymer weight)
a) Polystyrene: 0.2~0.5wt% for PS
d) Coatings and lacquers: 0.5~1.0wt% 0.5~2.0wt% for HIPS
e) Unsaturated Polyester: 0.2~0.4wt%
b) Polyvinyl chloride: 0.2~1.0wt%
f ) Polythene: 0.2%~0.4wt%
c) Polypropylene: 0.16~0.3wt%
8. Package: Net 25kg cartons with inner plastic bag.
9. Storage: UV-326 should be stored in a closed system and be kept in a dry and dark place
without any light exposure.
