Indigo is a blue powder that is soluble in hot aniline and almost insoluble in water and ethanol. It is yellow-green in concentrated sulfuric acid and blue precipitate after dilution. It is indigo red in concentrated nitric acid and then becomes red and yellow. It is pale yellow in alkaline insurance powder reducing solution and colorless in acid solution. It is used as food colorant, our regulations can be used in red and green silk, the maximum usage is 0.02g/kg; In fruit juice (flavor) drinks, carbonated drinks, prepared wine, candies, pastries, tinned cherries (for decoration), green plums, the maximum use is 0.10g/kg; The maximum amount used in macerated vegetables is 0.01g/kg.
