Key Features and Benefits
It’s a kind of effective mildewcide with the active ingredient 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolinone (OIT), which content is 98%. This product is free of formaldehyde, low toxic and long term, can be soluble in organic solvents, related carriers and also slightly soluble in water (about 500 ppm). It is widely applicable in paint & coating, polymer emulsions, plastic, wood, leather, pesticides, dry film, etc.

Characteristic Properties

Minimum inhibitory concentrations（MIC）

The following tables indicate the minimum concentrations in parts per million (ppm), as supplied, which inhibit the growth of various microorganisms in test tube cultures. These data demonstrate broad spectrum antimicrobial activity. The methods used to obtain the data are useful tools for screening antimicrobial materials under standardized laboratory conditions in nutrient-rich growth media. Concentrations will vary with changes in media and testing conditions.

Use levels and Dosage
Under normal use patterns, concentrations of 0.05-0.5% are sufficient in most applications. The actual dosage should be determined with the consideration of the season, environment, water source and the degree of microbial pollution, the precise level required by a specific formulation can be determined by the Combat-Tech technical team.

Storage and Package
25 kg or 200 kg plastic drum.
Placement in transit shall handle with care, not to contact with reductive metals (Fe, Al etc.), nor with oxidative materials. Stored in original containers under appropriate storage conditions (below 40℃, cool ventilated place). Shelf life is 12 months.

Safety
Use of eye protection (goggles & face shield) and gauntlet-type gloves is required when handling this product, in case of eye or skin contact, despite precautionary measures, wash immediately and thoroughly with plenty of warm water and obtain medical attention.
