Low Acidity Glyoxal (40% aqueous) is colourless to pale yellow solution. In the air, the substance polymerizes easily; heated, the polymer is decomposes glyoxal monomer.

 

Colorless transparent liquid or liquid with low chroma, density:1.265-1.270,can be dissolved with water, slightly soluble in ethanol,aether, slightly soluble in esters,aromatic solvents. Active chemical properties.

Usage:

 

Used as pharmaceutical intermediates, fabric finishing dyes agent and dye intermediates.

 

Used as a binder and rayon of drag reduction agent, also used in organic synthesis.

 

Used for viscose fiber finishing agent, polyvinyl alcohol, starch and other insoluble binder, and paint, dye and pharmaceutical raw materials. 

 

Used in waste water treatment.
