Aniracetam is a γ-lactam-based drug designed to improve brain function.

Aniracetam primarily acts on the nervous system, capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier and selectively targeting the brain. It enhances the metabolism of neurotransmitters, promotes the metabolism of 5-hydroxytryptamine, and effectively shortens selective reaction times.
