Diosmin is a phytochemical used to make medicines, found mainly in citrus fruits. It can treat a variety of blood vessel conditions, including hemorrhoids, swelling (inflammation), varicose veins, poor circulation in the legs (venous stasis), and bleeding from the eyes or gums (bleeding).

 

It is also used to treat swelling of the arm (lymphedema) after breast cancer surgery, and to prevent liver toxicity. Diosmin is often combined with hesperidin, another phytochemical.
