2- Ethyl hexanol in the plasticizer neighborhood used to be called octanol, it is an important chemical raw material. Foreign octanol in addition to the production of plasticizer, but also the production of octanol acrylate or used as surfactants, mainly used to produce: Di-octyl phthalate (DOP), di-octyl glycolate (DOA), tri-octyl metaphenyltriate (TOTM), other plasticizers, octyl acrylate, surfactants, additives for bone oil, mining, fuel additives for diesel engines, solvents and dispensations, antirust esters, other chemicals. Octanol itself is a useful solvent, defoaming agent, dispersant, lubricant, its series of products are mainly dioctanol phthalate and other plasticizers and octanol acrylate. Dioctyl phthalate produced from octanol is the main plasticizer of PVC, and the consumption of PVC accounts for about 95% of its total consumption.
