A peptide agonist of GHS-R Peptide Agonists Receptor Pharmacology Peptide
A growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP), Hexarelin aids in the regulation of plasma growth hormone levels and the development of new muscle tissue. It engages with growth hormone secretagogue receptors (GHSr) and triggers the release of growth hormone
1 Hexarelin (300 µg/kg, s.c.) increases plasma growth hormone levels in neonatal rats.
2 It also improves left ventricular function and reduces fibrosis in a mouse model of myocardial ischemia induced by transient ligation of the left descending coronary artery (LAD) when administered at a dose of 0.3 mg/kg per day.
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R).
