Carbon black is an amorphous carbon. Light, loose and extremely fine black powder with very large specific surface area ranging from 10-3000m2/g is the product of incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of organic matter (heavy oil, fuel oil, etc.) under the condition of insufficient air.
