Pectinase is a class of enzymes which can break down pectin. Pectinase mainly includes protopectinase, pectin methylesterase(PME) and polygalacturonase(PG) which can lipolyse, hydrolyze and degrade pectin respectively. Through breaking down the pectin, galacturonic acid, oligo-guluronic acid, unsaturated galacturonic acid, and oligo-galacturonic acid are acquired. Finally, the cell wall is destroyed and the nutrients are released. FUNCTION Improve the digestibility of pectin materials in feedstuff. Ameliorate the environment of alimentary tract.
