Details:

Sulfolane, also known as 1,1 - dioxide tetrahydrothiophene. High-purity sulfolane at room temperature is colorless odorless solid, melting point is 27.8 ℃, industrial products, mostly pale yellow liquid, has high dissolved ability, good selectivity  solvents. It can be in any rate of water, can be soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and alcohols, while the dissolution for paraffin and alkene has little change, the thermal stability is high for heat, acid and alkali. At room temperature will not have reaction with acid, alkali, dienes, sulfur, alcohol etc, and not have decomposition and polymerization, When the temperature is 240 ℃ above, partly disassembled and released SO2.

Sulfolane can be used to extracting aromatic hydrocarbon from the oil, also can be used the purification agent for natural gas, synthetic gas, and other acid gases, removal of sulfuretted hydrogen and carbon dioxide. It can be used as polymers such as polyacrylonitrile, acrylonitrile copolymer, polyvinyl fluoride and other solvents, used in spinning manufacture of film. It also can be used as plasticizers such as cellulose ethers, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, polyamide, the additives for acrylic fiber spinning. It can be used for the separation of fatty acids, extracted non-cellulose from components of wood, as the vehicle of condensation, added to Pressed oil to improve corrosion resistance , fire-resistant thermal , stability, viscosity. Sulfolane has many other functions,such as dipping cigarette filters to reducing the harm to health，production of pesticides and insecticides; extracting HF; recovery MeCHCN-Cu;In a word.it is used widely.
