Publisher SummaryAnthranilic acid is covalently linked to agarose through several of its functional groups. Because anthranilic acid has been shown to cause significant product inhibition of anthranilate synthetase at low concentrations, the adsorption of the unaggregated form of anthranilate- PRtransferase to the various agarose-anthranilate acid derivatives and its subsequent elution is examined in an attempt to define the requirements for anthranilic acid binding by that enzyme as an aid in purification.
