The reduction of CO to methanol by Everitt's salt has been studied at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The CO reduction is caused by the oxidation reaction of Everitt's salt to Prussian blue. However, this redox reaction can only be activated by the coexistence of a metal complex and methanol used as homogeneous catalysts. Pentacyanoferrate(II), amminepentacyanoferrate(II) and pentachlorochromate(III) operated as effective catalysts, but pentacyanonitrosylferrate(III) and hexacyanoferrate(II) did not.
We also recommend Trading Suppliers and Manufacturers of amminepentacyanoferrate(III) (cas 13717-31-2). Pls Click Website Link as below: cas 13717-31-2 suppliers
