Sources/Uses: Used as an ultraviolet stabilizer for polyethylene and an ultraviolet sunscreen;

 

Comments:  Not irritating to skin or eyes of rabbits; Caused skin sensitization in a guinea pig study; Caused skin sensitization in guinea pig maximization test (60-78% positive), but not in human patch test study involving 50 people; Effects in high-dose animal studies (rats) include kidney injury
