Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by 4-{dimethyl-[(triisopropylsilanyl)-ethynyl]-silanyl}-biphenyl. This reaction will need reagent K2CO3 and solvent methanol. The yield is about 83%.



Uses of (Triisopropylsilyl)acetylene: it can be used to produce bromoethynyl-triisopropyl-silane at temperature of 20 °C. It will need reagent NBS, AgNO3 and solvent acetone with reaction time of 2 hours. The yield is about 96%.
