Production method of this chemical: The (Trimethylsilyl)acetic acid could be obtained by the reactant of Trimethylsilylessigsaeuretrimethylsilylester. This reaction needs the reagent of 20percent NH₄Cl, and the solvent of tetrahydrofuran. The yield is 61 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 6 hours at the ambient temperature.

Uses of this chemical: The Trimethylsilylacetylchlorid could be obtained by the reactant of (Trimethylsilyl)acetic acid. This reaction needs the reagent of thionyl chloride, and the solvent of petroleum ether. The yield is 83 %. This reaction should be taken for 1 hour at the temperature of 45-50 °C.
