The 1-Amino-8-naphthol-4,6-disulfonic acid ,its cas register number is 130-23-4.It also can be called as l,7-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid, 4-amino-5-hydroxy- and the IUPAC name about this chemical is 4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-1,7-disulfonic acid .It belongs to the Intermediates of Dyes and Pigments. Raw materials is 1-Naphthylamine-4,6,8-trisulfonic acid .

The 1-Amino-8-naphthol-4,6-disulfonic acid is a light brown powder, it slightly soluble in cold water and soluble in hot water, also it can soluble in soda ash or caustic soda solution, after react with ferric chloride it will be yellow green.It can be used as azo dyes, reactive dyes and organic pigment intermediates, mainly used for the production of cationic dyes, reactive red K-2G and so on.
Preparition methods: The 1-Amino-8-naphthol-4,6-disulfonic acid can be got from the 1-naphthylamine-4,6,8-3 acid by neutralization, alkali, acidification. The 1-naphthylamine-4,6,8-3 acid solution with sodium carbonate and sodium were naphthylamine 3, then at 178-184 °C under liquid alkali fusion with sodium hydroxide; then use sulfuric acid in the 0.7- 0.78MPa obtained under acid 4h. The finished product is rice brown powder, K acid content of 80%.
