Preparation of 4-Ethyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-one: it can be prepared by ethyloxirane and carbon dioxide. This reaction will need reagent MgO and solvent dimethylformamide. The reaction time is 12 hours at reaction temperature of 135 °C. And the reaction pressure is 14710.2 Pa. In addition, The yield is about 72%.
