Production method of this chemical: 5-Decene, (5E)- can be obtained by pentyl-phenyl sulfone. This reaction needs the reagent of n-BuLi, Ni(II)acetylacetonate, and the solvent of tetrahydrofuran. The yield is 63 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 6 hours at the temperature 65 °C.
