Aluminosilicate History

The term zeolite was originally coined in 1756 by Swedish mineralogist Axel Fredrik Cronstedt, who observed that upon rapidly heating the material stilbite, it produced large amounts of steam from water that had been adsorbed by the material.

Aluminosilicate Specification

The Aluminosilicate, with the CAS registry number 1318-02-1, is also known as abscents3000; agrolithe15/25; zeolites. It belongs to the product categories of AluminumMaterials Science; Metal and Ceramic Science; Nanomaterials; Oxides; Materials Science. Its EINECS number is 215-283-8. They occur naturally in sedimentary and volcanic rocks, altered basalts, ores, and clay deposits. Some 40 known zeolite minerals and a great number of synthetic zeolites are available commercially.

Use of Aluminosilicate: The Aluminosilicate is used as a molecular sieve to create purified oxygen from air using its ability to trap impurities, in a process involving the adsorption of nitrogen, leaving highly purified oxygen and up to 5% argon.Synthetic Aluminosilicate are widely used as catalysts in the petrochemical industry, for instance in fluid catalytic cracking and hydro-cracking. Aluminosilicate is also used for extracting cholesterol during the method of Abell et al. for serum cholesterol analysis. In agriculture, clinoptilolite (a naturally occurring zeolite) is used as a soil treatment. It can be used as solar thermal collectors and for adsorption refrigeration, and can be used in ion exchange of calcium, magnesium, iron, ect. It also can be used as water purification agent. The Aluminosilicate are also used for the determination of nitrogen in the blood and urine.Aluminosilicate are also used in Sugar refining, etc.

When you are using Aluminosilicate, please be cautious about it as the following: The Aluminosilicate is harmful by inhalation. It is irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. When you use it, wear suitable protective clothing, do not breathe dust, keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
