The systematic name of thsi chemical is Cellulose, carboxymethyl ether, calcium salt. With the CAS registry number 9050-04-8, it is also named as Carboxymethylcellulose calcium. The classification codes are Pharmaceutic aid [tablet disintegrant]; TSCA Flag XU [Exempt from reporting under the Inventory Update Rule]. The other registry numbers are 111941-77-6, 52627-96-0, 57406-72-1 and 9060-76-8. It is white to pale yellow powder or fibrous substance which is almost insoluble in water and stable to heat, light, air and microbes.
Preparation of Cellulose,ethers,carboxymethyl ether,calcium salt: Adding calcium hydroxide to aqueous solution of sodium carboxymethylcellulose. And then we can get the product by precipitating.
Uses of Cellulose,ethers,carboxymethyl ether,calcium salt: It is used as thickener, binder, inviscid dispersant and collapsing agent. It also can promote dispersed in water of cocoa powder, instant coffee, soft drinks and other solid powder.
