Preparation of Diphenylsilane: this chemical can be prepared by Dichloro-diphenyl-silane.



This reaction needs Toluene, Benzene and NaAlH₂(OCH₂CH₂OCH₃)₂ by heating. The reaction time is 20 min. The yield is 83 %.

Uses of Diphenylsilane: it can react with Dec-1-ene to get Decyl-diphenyl-silane.



This reaction needs Cp₂ZrCl₂, EtMgBr and tetrahydrofuran at temperature of 25 °C. The reaction time is 1 hour. The yield is 70 %.
