Uses of Silane,trichloro(2-methylpropyl)-: it can be used to produce (R)-3,7-dimethyloctyl-2-methylpropyldichlorosilane with (R)-1-bromo-3,7-dimethyl-octane. This reaction is a kind of Grignard reaction//Substitution. This reaction needs two steps. It will need reagent Mg and solvent diethyl ether. The yield is about 42%.
