Metoprolol Uses

Metoprolol (CAS NO.37350-58-6) is used as a treatment for high blood pressure drugs, mainly the use of its tartaric acid salt. It also used its hydrochloride. Metoprolol right selective β1 adrenergic receptor blocking effect on the role of β2 receptor is weak, a larger dose of blood vessels and bronchial smooth muscle contraction can, and have a weak role of membrane stabilizing agent, without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. Can slow down the heart rate, reduce cardiac output and myocardial oxygen consumption, as well as lower blood pressure. Primarily used to treat angina and hypertension. Used to treat high blood pressure and angina pectoris.
