What's more, it can be used as analytics reagents and in electroplating industry.
Physical properties of Nickel ammonium sulfate hexahydrate: (1)ACD/LogP: -1.03; (2)ACD/LogD (pH 5.5): -5.53; (3)ACD/LogD (pH 7.4): -5.53; (4)ACD/BCF (pH 5.5): 1; (5)ACD/BCF (pH 7.4): 1; (6)#H bond acceptors: 4; (7)#H bond donors: 2; (8)Enthalpy of Vaporization: 62.94 kJ/mol; (9)Boiling Point: 330 °C at 760 mmHg; (10)Vapour Pressure: 3.35E-05 mmHg at 25°C.
Preparation: nickel sulfate is mixed with water and is acidized by sulfuric acid and miscible with ammonium sulfate saturated solution. The reaction mixture is cooled down. Then Nickel ammonium sulfate crystallization will precipitate. The product
is eluted with a mixture of H2O and ethanol and is dried. At last, it will generate Nickel ammonium sulfate.
