Perilla Oil Uses

 Perilla oil (CAS NO.68132-21-8) is used as spices, mainly used in cakes, pickles, candy, jelly and other food products,also has anti-corrosion effect.

Perilla Oil Production

Reap whole plant at the early flowering from Labiatae annual herb Perilla (Perilla arguta) , derived by steam distillation. Yield of 0.07% ~ 0.21% (fresh grass), or 0.33% to 0.41% (hay). Perilla could also be obtained from Perilla at room temperature with petroleum ether three times extraction, extraction time 2h, merger and evaporation, yield of of Perilla oil (CAS NO.68132-21-8) is up to 4.1%.
