Preparation of Propyldimethylchlorosilane: This chemical can be prepared by chloro-dimethyl-silane and propene. The reaction will need catalyst H2PtCl6.H2O, and the menstruum diethyl ether. And the yield is about 89%. 

Uses of Propyldimethylchlorosilane: It can react with dimethylamine to produce (dimethylamino)dimethyl(propyl)silane. This reaction will need menstruum 2-methyl-butane, and the yield is about 86%.
