For example, it is used to produce 1, 4-Bis(2', 3', 5', 6'-tetrafluoropyridylethynyl)tetrafluorobenzene by heating. This reaction needs reagents PdCl2(PPh3)2, CuI and Et3N. The reaction time is 12 hours. The yield is about 20 %.
