TRIISOBUTYLSILANE

Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by isobutylmagnesium bromide. This reaction will need reagent Cl₃SiH and solvent diethyl ether, heptane. The reaction time is 24 hours by heating. The yield is about 72%.

Uses of Silane,tris(2-methylpropyl)-: it can be used to produce triisobutyl-silanol at temperature of 80 °C. This reaction will need reagent air, water, [RuCl₂(p-cymene)]₂ and solvent acetonitrile with reaction time of 4 hours. The yield is about 85%.
