Bis-[3-(triethoxy silyl propyl)]tetrasulfide was synthesized by use of new technology and raw materials. Its total sulfur is as high as 22.3% and the yield is about 98%.This compound is a new type of rubber assistant.

Bis[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]tetrasulfide, silane coupling agent NQ-6901, reacts with fillers containing silanol groups during mixing and with the polymer during the vulcanization process under formation of covalent chemical bonds. This imparts better tensile strength, higher module, reduced compression set, increased abrasion resistance and optimized dynamic properties.
