Hercium polysaccharides terpenes Hericium erinaceus
Lion's Mane or as it is scietifically known, Hercium erinaceus, is an edble, mushroom belonging to the tooth fungus group. Hericium erinaeus contains a number of polysaccharides, such as B-glucan(beta-glucan), heteroglycans, heteroxylanes and several cyanthane derivative triterpenes known as hericenone and erinacine. These latter compounds are found in the fruit body and mycelium respectively and are knowto provide a lot of the lion's mane benefits.
