Description:
Amylase is the general name of enzymes that hydrolyze starch and glycogen. Usually, amylase catalyzes the hydrolysis of starch slurry on fabric. Due to the high efficiency and specificity of amylase, the enzyme desizing has high desizing rate, fast desizing and less pollution. The product is softer than acid method and alkali method without damaging fiber dimension.
Applications:
Amylase is a digestive enzyme mainly secreted by pancreas and salivary gland, but it is rarely found in other tissues. The main function of amylase is to hydrolyze glycosidic bonds in starch molecules and convert complex carbohydrates into monosaccharides. α- Amylase can be found in animal saliva, pancreas, etc.
