Baicalin, as one of the main components of Scutellaria baicalensis, has the characteristics of heat purification, antioxidant, immunity improvement, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, and animal performance improvement, which has good application prospects in livestock and poultry production.

1. Poultry --10mg/kg

The addition of Scutellaria baicalin in the feed of laying hens not only improved the egg production rate, but also significantly increased the concentration of total protein, protein, blood glucose, lipid, calcium, potassium, triiodothyronine and thyroxine in the serum of laying hens, increased the activity of alkaline phosphatase, decreased the activity of glutamic oxalacetic transaminase, glutamic alanine transaminase, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine phosphokinase and cortisol in the serum.

The addition of baicalin to the feed of egg chicks can significantly reduce morbidity, mortality and infection rate, increase feed intake, promote broiler growth and improve intestinal microflora.

2. Pigs --The addition amount is optimal at 15%.
