Precautions for use of coagulant:

1. When the ambient temperature of blood collection is lower than 20 ℃, in addition to appropriately increasing the amount of coagulant, it is also necessary to increase the number of reverse mixing and prolong the coagulation time. If rapid detection is required, it is better to use a 36 ℃ water bath.

2. Insufficient coagulation will cause blood cells and fibrin filaments to hang up, and slight hemolysis. The coagulation process may be suspended, or there may be no serum separation after centrifugation.

3. After blood collection, if the blood and coagulant are centrifuged without full fusion, it is easy to form fibrin gel like coagulation or fibrin filaments, whose specific gravity is smaller than that of blood clots, so they remain in the serum layer and partially adhere to the separation gel. 4. After unsealing, the coagulant shall be sealed and stored under 4 ℃ and used within 7 days.

5. When impurities, foreign matters, abnormal smell and color are found in the coagulant, and the expiration date is exceeded, it is prohibited to use it.

6. The coagulant is an organic solvent liquid, which is flammable, has slight anesthetic performance and is non-toxic. If it touches the skin, wash it with water.
