Properties:

White monoclinic or orthorhombic crystals with a strong ammonia odor. Relative density is 1.573. It is insoluble in ethanol, carbon disulfide, and concentrated ammonia water, but easily soluble in water and glycerol. It contains 31% ammonia and 56% CO?. It is unstable in air and decomposes easily into ammonia gas (NH?), carbon dioxide (CO?), and water when heated.
