Uses of Benzene,1,1'-[1,2-bis(methylene)-1,2-ethanediyl]bis-: it can be used to produce 4,5-diphenyl-3,6-dihydro-1,2-dithiin. It will need reagents (Me₃Si)₂S, BCl₃, o-benzoyl-o'-thiobenzoyl-biphenyl. The yield is about 85%.
