Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Phenylmagnesium bromide. This reaction will need reagent HSiCl3, and solvent Diethyl ether. The reaction time is 12 hours with reaction temperature of 10 -15 °C. The yield is about 73%.

Uses of Benzene,1,1'-(chlorosilylene)bis-: it can be used to produce 1,1,2,2-Tetraphenyl-disilane. It will need reagent Lithium wire and solvent Tetrahydrofuran with reaction time of 10 hours. The yield is about 68%.
